Another large new project for Eckington is under review by DC’s Zoning Commission. Developer Foulger-Pratt has plans submitted for an 83′ tall building that will contain 328 residential apartments over top 8,380 sq. ft. of street level retail. The current address of the site is 1501 Harry Thomas Way, NE, a 1.79 acre site.

Plans include a 9,745 sq. ft. central courtyard, a pool and an underground parking garage with 124 parking spaces. The NoMA Parks Foundation is donating 20,000 sq. ft. of land along the eastern portion of the address to become a park and dog park. Another park is planned for the South side of the site.

There’s not a huge amount of detail yet available on the planned apartment mix. Nine residences will be two-story artist live/work lofts on the ground level and four units will be set aside for low-income households under DC’s Inclusionary Zoning Program.
