Baltimore City Home Prices on 16% Rise Since 2017

The price of homes sold in Baltimore City has increased 16.4% since 2017! City home prices up to August 2019 have set a median of $156,000 this year, up from just $136,000 in 2017 and $143,000 in 2018.

What’s contributing to the increases? Supply and demand along with other factors as Baltimore City continues to improve and focuses on citywide redevelopment of blighted zones.

“This is a massive urban market close to DC that has all kinds of positive factors behind its increases,” said Gerard DiRuggiero, Principal Broker of Urbanland Company. “You have a huge population of professional and working class renters, a strong local jobs market, a hidden luxury market and prices that have been beaten down over the years by social problems.”
