Here’s an update on one of our favorite Baltimore topics — our new UrbanLand Company regional real estate office in Hampden! We announced the purchase of the building in January and have been busy at work preparing for the final buildout and enhancement of the commercial space. Permits have been approved for these key steps.

We’re picking up some valuable exposure to what it takes to get a project approved that any incoming investors to the Baltimore market will want to plug into. Bottom line is: the City wants growth and change in a big way, and their flexibility and responsiveness is very encouraging.”
Our The new Baltimore office joins another UrbanLand Company office currently in development at 1020 Bladensburg Road, NE and the company’s long-term headquarters at 913 Florida Avenue, NW in Shaw.
What’s Hampden? Hampden is a distinctive Baltimore neighborhood centered around West 36th Street in Baltimore (aka “The Avenue”). It’s an area of independent, locally-owned, authentic, cool restaurants, shops and businesses close to the Baltimore Museum of Art, the Baltimore Zoo and Johns Hopkins University. The neighborhood has a great vibe and is host to numerous community events each year.
