Permitting Wrapping Up For Our 1020 Bladensburg Road, NE Office

Progress continues at 1020 Bladensburg Road, NE, our upcoming second D.C. real estate office. We purchased the building back in late 2015 and are currently making final revisions to our various plans as we wrap up the permit approval process.  Demolition and interior build-out and renovation should begin soon!

In the meantime, we’ve been busy getting prepared and meeting other property owners in the neighborhood. “We’ve been spending a lot of time checking out the neighborhood and introducing ourselves to other site owners on the strip,” commented Gerard DiRuggiero, Principal Broker of UrbanLand Company. “Our firm is already heavily entrenched in NE and this will be a great additional base of operations for us here. It already feels like we are the neighborhood realtor in Trinidad!”

There’s a lot of value and opportunity to be had on this piece of Northeast! “We purchased this site for very specific strategic reasons. There will be a huge amount of development activity in this zone as H Street’s boom continues to spread east and up Bladensburg Road,” continued Gerard. “We’re excited to tap into the potential here early.”

The office will service the needs of home buyers, property owners, developers and real estate investors in Northeast including the H Street Corridor, Trinidad and the growing Bladensburg Road/Benning Road area. Part of the build-out plans for the interior include a large amount of open flex space to use for our popular Free Home Buyer Workshops series and other events.
