  • Less than $97,520/year in income (1-2 person households)

Part 1 of Portner Flats on V Street, NW Underway


Permits and work has begun for a 97 unit affordable apartment tower that will be going on the site of the old Portner Place Section 8 housing development. This is Wing A of a two phase project. The other phase, Wing B, is a market-rate, 270 unit building fronting U Street itself that will include 15,000 sq. ft. of retail.  Wing B also includes a fitness room, yoga, a cross-training studio and party room.

The affordable apartments and Wing A are getting started. Wing B, the market-rate project with included amenities, will start at a later date.
