Meal Delivery Service Creating 500 Jobs in Howard County


Meal delivery service Freshly is opening a distribution center in Savage, Maryland in Howard County almost directly between DC and Baltimore. The opening will add 500 new jobs to the area by the end of 2018.

Their space will be 171,000 sq. ft. at 8704 Bollman Place in Savage. The distribution center will use the space for food prep, cooking , assembly and distribution. Freshly will be investing $8 million for machinery and equipment, including 87,500 sq. ft. of cold storage.

Freshly is based out of New York and has recently finished raising $21 million in venture capital last Summer. Their plan is to expand their delivery operations to all 50 states over time.

The Howard County facility will be a lead location in the company’s East Coast expansion.
