Free Prince George’s Co. Home Buyer Workshops For October

Do you want to stop renting in Prince George’s County, or do you feel trapped in DC by high prices? Join us for a Free Workshop as we show you how easy it is to buy in Prince George’s County. Whether you’re interested in being close to the DC boundary or looking for lots of square feet further out, there’s values and deals to be had in the County for first time home buyers.

MyHomeII-GuidelinesSealUrbanLand Company real estate agents help a large number of homebuyers purchasing in Prince George’s County.  “We simply love the county for value,” said Gerard DiRuggiero, Principal Broker of UrbanLand Company. “Our Buyer Workshops team helps first time buyers succeed in owning a home pretty much every single month. The big news this week is that the County has relaunched their popular My Home II program. It restarted on 9/1 and is drawing home buyers into look at homes with us every day.”

“My Home II” is a big deal. Here’s the details on the incentives:

  • Up to $20,000 in Down Payment & Closing Costs assistance (based on 5% of home purchase price)
  • Valid for homes purchased in 14 Prince George’s Zip Codes including several along the DC NE boundary.
  • Must be income eligible based on 120% of Area Median Income (details still to come on income!)
  • Program runs from 9/1 – 12/31/2016. If county funds run out early, the program ends.

Free Workshops are available on Tuesday nights at 5:30pm and Saturday mornings at 10am. Our Free Workshops run out of our 913 Florida Ave. NW brokerage office in DC. We also offer phone sessions with our Workshop agents if you can’t make the trip in. Just make the request when you RSVP. Several of our agents live and work from Prince George’s County.

Here’s the current calendar of events. Please RSVP at Info@UrbanLandCompany.com or on Facebook!

Finance programs are always a discussion topic in the Workshops. Prince George’s County qualifies for My Home II, another program called the Maryland Mortgage Program (MMP) and the NHF Sapphire home loans program.  Understanding these programs shows you quickly how easy it can be to buy a home currently. We also discuss the extremely low 30 year mortgage interest rates that you can take advantage of all through 2016.

Our Workshops group of agents sell a large number of homes in Prince George’s County! “We’ve been taking buyers from DC into the County for a few years.  They love the lower home pricing and the amount of square footage and luxury they can buy,” said Gerard. “Some of the agents also live in the County, we really are set up nicely to service a flow of home buyers wanting the County’s high degree of first time buyer value.”
