Average home prices for homes sold in Trinidad are surging. The average price for a Trinidad home sold during the first 3 months of 2016 was $547,737 across 19 homes sold. This is in stark contrast to 2015’s same time period, where 25 homes sold had an average price of $453,807.
“The first quarter of 2016 went great for homeowners in the zone, with a 20.7% average price increase on homes sold. The trend looks to be continuing this quarter – there’s homes selling in the last 60 days from $882,000 to as low as $115,819 in the neighborhood. This is a part of DC that still offers great prices for those on the lookout,” said Gerard DiRuggiero, Principal Broker of UrbanLand Company.
The Trinidad neighborhood has some very nice characteristics that a lot of DC residents just don’t know about. “It’s no surprise that interest is high in this area – you have a Victorian neighborhood that is near Union Market, a ton of office space and employment in NoMa, H Street nightlife and massive amounts of development as you head towards Bladensburg Road, NE,” continued DiRuggiero. “The icing on the cake is the Arboretum. This is DC’s ‘Central Park’ and is massive green space with a ton of trails and other attractions inside.”
